Default Keyless Power Door Locks

I have a 1997 Civic EX, my power door locks do not open automatically with myalarm when I use my alarm transponder. The guy I bought the car from says this problem just began recently. Can anyone give me any pointers or trouble shoot advice as to where the problem might me and how it can be fixed. Thank you

well does the door lock buttons in the car still work?
if so then it could be something as small as a fuse on the relays power wire.. or even the 3wires coming off the alarm have came unpluged... or could be the 3rd red wire which gives power to the relays for the door lock thru the brain and the power wire has just gone bad internaly.. if thats the case simply wiring the relays power wire into a power source will fix them... and yes ive had all of those happen before.. very simple fixes..... ya just have to FIND which one is the problem... a light tester is the best tool for finding the problem...

Just to give you a heads up, if you get frustrated trouble-shooting and can't find an answer - I know you said the guy you bought the car from claimed they had worked before, but not all alarms have this feature.

When I had my alarm installed, I opted to forgo the extra 25 or 50 bucks for this option. Not trying to call the dude you bought the car from a liar or anything, b/c 9/10 he probably is telling the truth, but you just never know...

well for MOST car alarms the keyless entry wires are, green,red,blue... I BELIEVE... been a year since i put mine in but i believe those are the colors... look for a 3 wires plug.. if its pluged into the alarms brain. and just remember hondas use negative pulse to work door locks so no relays needed and that red wire doesnt matter...

Power Lock: GREEN/WHITE 16 PIN BLUE CONNECTOR
Power Unlock: GREEN/ORANGE TO LEFT OF FUSE BLOCK ***
