hey guys, my turbo y8 while driving is usually around 14afr then suddenly it will go to 16 or 17 and back to 14 or go from 14 to full lean. if i let off the throttle and give it gas it leans out again like a delay a carb v8 has. any ideas, i was thinking dizzy maybe not enough spark? fuel pressure at 45psi with walbro 255 thanks

 

donno much about d/b series engine...but If I had that prob. with a f/h series I would look at my map tuning...have my tuner take a look cus this seems like a error on the tuners part. Not all tunes are the same...everyone is diff. the way they tune...me personally I only have CFT do my tuning....since your boosted I’m assuming you have a good tune done...not to diss your tuner but the error sounds like it on his/her part.
If your leaning out that mean your injectors aren’t giving off fuel or you have more than enough air in the camber than you should

 

it leans out just while cruising not even hitting boost. when hitting boost its fine. it hesitates for a sec while crusing like it runs outa fuel.

 

I would still assume it's in the tuning. But that’s just my thoughts..you have any tuner friends? See if they can maybe help you out a tweak your tune a bit. Where are you located? There a guy in tally who could help you out on the cheap...btw he is the guy with the fastest North FL civic
