i have a 02 civic ex purchased last fall and here's the problem:

when i leave the headlights on and turn the car off, it doesn't make that beeping noise anymore to remind you to kill the lights. i'm pretty sure it did when i got it but now, nothing. this has resulted in my leaving the lights on accidentally on some of those cloudy days where it's not dark enough outside for me to notice the lights on when i leave the car. this has resulted in a dead battery at least once so far and i'd rather not have it happen again.


i looked in the manual to see if there is a fuse for this warning light but i found nothing. i havent run through the fuses yet but i figured i'd ask for some advice first.

any ideas??

I hate to tell u this but i have a 95 civic and i can't count how many times i had to get a jump leaving the lights on. I was told the 95 year doesn't have audible warning. Maybe your ride is in the same boat.

 

possible bad chime relay?

 

I just did a search on the forums.
I have a 94 Civic LX. I've left the lights on a couple of times, including yesterday. There's no warning chime. Is this non-existant for Civics?

 

non existent on 5th gens for sure. You can and should make one though

 

Anybody know of a How-to for that?
