Default Loud screeching sound

I just had a belt job done on my 94 civic about a two months ago,at that time it had about 155,000 miles.Within the past two weeks since then, everytime I start the engine there is this loud screech coming from the engine bay, it sounds like it could be one of the belts. It lasts for a about 10seconds...sometimes even more and then it goes away. When I'm driving it stops, the screeching sounds appear to come back only when my vehicle gets close to a complete stop or when I turn on the a/c.Could this be something serious?I wanna get it checked out,but I hate to pay an arm and leg for a minor issue, but its getting embarrassing!PLEASE HELP!

loose belt. Get under there and find out which one it is before it shreds itself. Press the belt in the middle of the two pullies. There should be ~3/8 to 1/2 of deflection. It's hard to say, because belt tightness is measured with an actual guage. To loose and it slips (screeches) to tight and it puts undue stress on the bearings.

i'd say just tighten both pretty decent to where there not to much slack and see if it stops but don't tighten it to much

What is it with shops leaving belts loose? I had my timing belt changed at a dealer and they did a shoddy job tightening up the other belts.

If I had a loose belt, I would replace it because its probably already glazed. But in the meantime, you can tighten the belt.
