Default Lowering your car

Ok, so here's the scenario. I wrecked my front-end, and opted to get an aftermarket kit. Now I have some real money to work with, and am looking to get some performance upgrades. Among other things, I want to lower my car, but as it is, my front end is too prone to hitting low-lying things anyway, or scraping when I hit too steep an angle (ie my driveway). I am considering finding a stock bumper and replacing my current one, but would like to keep the one I have because afterall, I have paid for it. Now, is it expensive to raise/lower my car? Or would I be able to easily/cheaply swap for a higher ride so I could reattach my kit, and then later swap to a stock bumper and lower ride?

Theres some cheap kits on ebay for around 100. And the good ones are around 500.
Another easy fix ( just for looks though) is you can go to your local auto store and ask them for knuckles. You put them on your stock springs and you can lower it or raise your car (with screws)

well i have a kit already, at least on the front, and am just looking for a stock bumper (so that I have more clearance to work with so i can lower the car; the streets in my area arent very forgiving to low cars). Now, these knuckles, how hard are they to install/adjust?
