I have had this happen a few times, not sure if it's a big deal or I'm doing something wrong.

when in first gear, if I rev the engine above 3000rpm and do clutch in and shift to 2nd gear, sometimes (maybe around 10 times over 2 months now) the stick just feels like it's popping out without me moving it. could it be b/c i didn't properly put the stick in 1st gear in the first place or is could it be something else?

Are your engine and tranny mounts in good condition?
or are they broken?
a friends integra had something like that happend and it was his mounts.

 

Does it have links or cables? In any case, I would look for worn rod ends, bushings, pins and whatnots, in addition to the mounts.
