ok well with building the blue coupe i know this bolt CANNOT BE RIGHT... i slaped it back on the car cause i wanted to move the car around and just FORGOT about replacing it..

what does the stupid bolt SUPOSED to look like? and is thier any kinda rubber bushing suposed to be on it?

its the shifter linkage that bolts to the trannies gear selector not the stabalizer arm that bolts solid...

and lately it feels like the shifter wants to stick more and im PREATY SURE its that freaken bolt ghettoness.....

the freaking bolt has some kinda rubber hose over it... and some kinda stupid Oring and washer... which =s total GHETTO

i tried bolting on a new bolt BUT it wont go thru both holes in the tranny bracket. im not sure if the bolt hole is wobbled that bad or its a special like step down bolt...

this is the gay bolt thats in the linkage..




and if anyone knows how much one might run..... new OEM...?

 

I don't have a rubber bushing on mine. Just find a bolt the threads and that does allow play in the linkage hole that it goes into.

well this is also my tranny linkage.. im not sure if its worn WAY HUGE.... or if its suposed to be that way....




now I KNOW its worn badly..... but is the holes suposed to be the same size in that bracket?
im also wondering if they sell a replacement bracket to replace that turd......
guy must have not tightened the bolt or something for every long time to do that much damage!!!!
if its suposed to be the same size bolt hole thru both sides then i could always cut that rivet off and then weld some washers onto it all around and just use a nother bolt thru it.... and thats IF i cannt buy the replacement bracket...

 

its not that solid mount... its the gear shifter part.....

 

OH. I didn't think that was supposed to come apart. You might have to pick up a new shift linkage.

 

mine didnt have the rubber bushing....

 

It looks like someone cut off the nut that should be welded to it.

 

DANG.......... so the previous owner realy screwed the shifter up..... dang looks like i should look for a used shifter
