Misaligned door?

Misaligned door?
So during a rain day yesterday I noticed some drips of water creeping in atop the door. Today upon careful inspection I discovered the driver's side door sits just slightly lower than the passenger side. Because of this the door seal isn't 100% tight.
My question, instead of going through the hassle of removing the fender and getting to the door bolts to try aligning it right, could I bend the door striker up a bit to force the door up a little sealing it better? Or would that not work as a short cut

I guess you're right but I'm a little worried it might make it even harder to align it the "right way" if I had to

Lift it to align without unbolting?

I was about to try that until I noticed the door striker had to graze the very top of the door latch so when closed it'd push up tight against top door seals. I wasn't about to push the door down to line it up, didn't make sense. Instead I built the height of the striker up about 1/16 of an inch with masking tape and it worked perfectly when door closed.
Just curious, would this slight tension of pushing door up cause any strain on hinges etc to create problems down the road?

dont wanna thread jack sorry
i have a 95 hatch i got different hinges pins and bushings but the door still seems to not shut correctly i think it might be a little warped from years of nonfixed sag and where they broke the check slamming it open once and busting the window. I also noticed the striker seems off the lines are straight on the car till i shut the door you think they might have moved the striker up a tad and wud it hurt to lower it some i mean long term i plan on keeping this car as its pretty built and i have severe ocd i mean i cant stand hail dings in my car
