Default Misreading Speedo

Ok. I read the other posts about speedos but they didnt really help me.
I have a 1996 DX coupe and my Speedo is freakin nuts.
Its always reading higher than I am actually going, for instance :
30MPH(speedo) is actually 25MPH(radar)
50MPH is 42MPH.
80MPH is really in the area of 60-70MPH.
Anybody have any idea where I should start looking to fix this prob?

there really isn't a way to fix it. you can get a new speedo. i moved the needle on my speedo on accident and it came out to be accurate.

I think you can pull the needle straight out and it will come out ever so gently the replace it back on the zero mph it takes much tallent and lots of time. its just easier running that little calculator in your head. but good luck when you figure it out let me know so i can fix mine im 10MPH off to. O one way to fix it would be to put a smaller diameter tire on it. Good luck though

if you changed your wheel/tire size then that could be part or all of the problem. i went from 14" to 16" & my speedo changed about 3mph. if you're on stock wheels...then you'll probably have to replace the speedo.
