Default Motor mount question? does it have oil in it or something?

well i have NO IDEA... but on my 96 DX civic it was extremly dirty when i got the car.... well i washed the engine bay ALOT and lately it looks like a black milky substance is coming out of the main engine mount on the side. ive checked the power steering hoses and none of them have any fluid on them so i dont think they are leaking fluid... but i clearly see fluid on the motor mounts rubber that looks black milkie and some bubbles in it as well. im curiious if maybe its coming from the motor mount or im just missing something else thats leaking....

help me out im confused!
i just cleaned the engine bay and its already starting to become a oily in that area!

Mine is all torn up and it used to be filled up with some type of grease or oil. I've been running with that motor mount broken for over two years and i'm sure it was broken before I bought the car. I have never had any problems with it though... knock on wood.

You can buy a new one from majestic for about $50....

yes that mount has some type of oil base inside of it and when they get a hole in them it leaks out. ive ripped one before but not a serious problem.
