I have a 93 eg si. The previous owner had a b16a1 swapped in it. I took it out, sold it, and threw in a stock d16z6 in it. Everything went fine, however, I ran into problems with the back mount and the side mounts. Is it necessary to switch out the stock mounts for b series mounts to do the b16a1 swap? Am I having trouble because the mounts that is currently on the car are b series mounts? So, the problem is that the holes on the mounts don't line up. Help me please if anyone knows.

 

are you swapping a D series back in? or swapping in a B series? I'm confused.... If you're putting a D back in then you need D mounts...

 

I am putting the d16z6 back in, hooking it up to the original mounts that held the b16a1 to the car. However, the holes will not line up.

 

Yeah your gonna need the d series mounts
