I just bought my 2nd Civic, which is my 4th Honda. It's a 94 2DR EX Manual. This car has ABS and 4 Wheel Disc to my surprise. I've worked in the car industry for 6 years now, and haven't seen too many if any Civics with 4 Wheel disc. Atleast on an older 2 door EX. I had a 95 before, same car with rear drum & no ABS. Was this a rare factory option? Anyone else have these options?

 

it was an option, and theres not a whole lot of them with them, but you do see it. or it could be swapped on from a 99-00 SI or an integra, but most likely its stock.

thats always a bonus. although performance-wise i don't know if the rear discs do much. i could be wrong tho. IMO 4 wheel disc brakes look cleaner.

 

well, even tho they only compensate for about <30% of your braking, I do believe they will feel more aggressive. From what I hear, they will also shave your braking distance down significantly.

And I agree, they do look MUCH cleaner

 

actually now that i come to think of it so does my 94 1.6esi vtec civic also have rear disc brakes! not sure about ABS or is that standard with 4 wheel disc brakes?
and this has done over 100k worth of milage! although when i bought my civic it came with alot of exterior mods, the only internal mod i know of is that i have a japanese back box muffler and i don't even know the make of it!

i need new engine oil in my car but i don't know what type of oil to use for my 130k milage civic or how to change the oil as in drain all the old oil then add new oil or just mix the new oil with the old???? :P

 

To change the oil you should drain all the oil (reinstall the plug), remove the filter, reinstall a NEW filter, fill the engine with NEW oil and start it up, check the level and put more oil in if neccissary. I really hope that this isn't the first time in 100k that your engine oil is going to be changed.

 

Cool! I wish mine would have come with rear discs. Those rear drums are any eye sore. They just look cheesy. [:'(]
