Default My clutch pedal is Broken??

Yes, when I say broken I mean the pivot point where the clutch pedal itself move broken off the bracket. I have not had a chance to look at it, or start taking things apart. The mounting bracket looks like it mounts all three pedals...Does anyone know if this is true??? Or do the clutch pedal mount to it own bracket..I am hoping I can weld the broken part, but being it needs to move, I am not sure how well I can repair this. I am thinking a run to a junk yard might be on the agenda for this weekend...I am just glad it happened in the driveway...

The same thing happend in my 91 hatch.Yes, the whole assembly (all three pedals) would have to come out if you do it that way. Although mine waswelded back upin place. Are you in a really cold climate? My pedal snapped off when it was -48 C.

Sorry I was alittle mad this morning when I just barely made it home from work...

It is a 88 civic DX...1.5l ...5 speed. No I don't live in extreme cold like you mentioned...it was 60deg...

What was happening, I was having issues shifting when I first bought the car 6 months ago. I adjusted the clutch cable and it worked great for about 3 months. Then yesterday I needed to adjust it again...so now I figured something was wrong, not to add to the fact I could barely shift trying to get home this morning. I climbed under the dash and the weld broke at the pivot for the clutch. I can see that it was welded before, so the question is..so I shop the junk yards and get a replacement or get it welded again?

And I have to say getting that out was a pain in the A#@..
