Default My engine blew, I know nothing of cars, have some questions..

I have a 1990 Honda Civic DX, my engine blew while my friend was on her way to work. It was towed to a shop and they said the engine needed to be replaced. I found an engine on craigslist, but it is for an LX. Does it matter what kind of engine I use? or do I need to get a specific one?

DX and LX had exactly the same engine, type number D15B2. It will fit.

Actually you can use just about any Civic engine from the 1990s with some slight modifications.

Thank you so much, and I found out today it has 230,000 miles on it. Should I bother with it or get a new one?
