Oh and for future readers... If you think that this may be the case (condenser ground) there is a quick way to check this without removing anything. When I hooked up the new ground to the condenser (from condenser to chasis ground) it threw sparks (engine running) showing me that there was a definite ground problem. So if you think that this may be the case, simply grab a wire (protected of course) and jump it from the condenser to the ground and if it throws sparks then there is your problem. Hope this could possibly help someone later on.

Hi, you mentioned the condenser ground was not connected and that was what caused your problem. Can you tell me how I can locate the ground wire? I am not sure which one it is. Thanks

I gave up looking for it, I just grounded the bolt on the side of the condensor to the chasis to elminate the ground issue. Is your wire sparking when you jump the condensor to the chasis while the car is running and a/c switch is on?

Thanks, as it turned out I was noticed that a small bolt was missing and as I looked down I found the ground wire. I got a new bolt and secured the wire and bingo - cold air! I really appreciate the help in solving this mystery!
