Need External Returnless Fuel Pressure Regulator
I have an endurance (LeMons!) race car with a D17A2 in it. The car has a fuel cell, so I am running an external in-line fuel pump. The problem is that the fuel pump runs constantly, there is no mechanism to shut it off once the system pressurizes. The fuel pump overheats and stops creating pressure.
I'd like to avoid running a normal pressure regulator and return line. Ideally I'd like a pressure regulator the shuts the pump off at 40psi, then kicks it back on when pressure drops. I believe this is how the stock in-tank regulator works (2002 Civic).
I am having a very difficult time finding an aftermarket pressure regulator that works this way. Any ideas?
