Default Need Help ASAP

Hey guys I was painting my valve cover and since I had a complete gasket replacement set I went to change the sparkplug seals and found out that they had luike melted in to the metal making it almost impossible to scrape out. I worked on it for an hour but admitted defeat. Does anyone know a good way to get rid of the junk. Also how hard is it to find a new one. Will Napa or Pepboys have one. Also what are the prices on them. Thanks in advance. I am driving my dad to work tom so i can get to school.

you cant buy a valve cover from a parts store. your best bet on that is a junk yard. paint stripper will probobly work pretty good on softening the old gaskets to get them out, but dont let any get into any of the baffleing or on your new paint. if you are careful you can do it

WEll i had to drive it the next day so we ended up man-handling it and gettting it off and a new one back on but we messed the paint in the process so now I will redo it on saturday. I will sandblast off the old paint.
