When I turn on the A/C in my 93 Civic, the compressor kicks on and starts cooling like normal. After about a minute or two, the A/C starts cycling on and off about every 3-5 seconds. If I let the A/C continue to run for a little while more, the compressor will start squealing intermittently. I always turn it off at this point because I do not want to break anything. I had a couple people take a look at it and they said that I needed an Orifice Tube/Expansion Valve because it looked like the A/C was building pressure but something I guess is clogged and wanting to lock up the compresser....thus the squealing. I really need some help as to what may be causing this because it is murder going anywhere during the day. I really appreciate any suggesstions someone can come up with.

 

could someone please help me with this? I do not want to buy something i dont need plus I am tired of burning up...lol.
