need help with check engine light
i own a 96 hx which i swapped in a 99 lx non vtec head and block but the intake manifold and all the harnesses are from the hx now there is no vtec on this head and the ecu is from the old motor that was a vtec.now i have the check engine light on with the p1259 code and i wanna know how to correct this.
how come i don't see the code here lol

and you should switch in a non-vtec ecu

You also need a 1996 or 1997 ECU (OBDIIa type) to be compatible with your car. The year of the engine doesn't matter since you only swapped the head and block.
The HX's were a little strange. There may be other parts different, like the oxygen sensors. I don't think that would cause it to stall out though.

k i got the odbiia from a base model 96 civic non-vtec i just turn the car on and it just shuts off now i gonna check the idle switch on the intake manifold because when i did the swap it was idleling at 1000 rpms standing with the old ecu that was for the v-tec so i dropped it to 650 rpm's.im just getting frustated with this cuz i need to go to emissions soon.
