Default Need help for dangly part ID

Hi everyone!

I have a part dangling in front of the radiator on my 1995 VTI after having a golf ball fly into that space on the road. It looks like it could be some sort of thermometer. It looks okay still, but I would like to reattach it from wherever it came. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance and happy driving from NZ.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try and borrow a camera to get one.
Some more info - the wires connecting it seem to be coming off the same bundle as the horn. As well, it appears it could have been mounted on the plastic grill part of the bumper - can't be sure though.
Cheers,
