need help with the fog lights

need help with the fog lights
ok so i recently installed fog light for my ride....cool
but now the problem is that i manually have to turn on or off
till recently i didnt care turning em manually n all that
'cause i like driving with fog lights on all the time....
ok so now i went to work...and forgot to turn off the fogs...
it killed my battery...not cool lol
ok so how can i hook up the fogs so that they stay on all the time as long as the car is running ?
rite now i have hooked em to the battery.....
need advise

well i would just wire up a led from your fog lights into your car.... that way youd have a indicator light so you know when they are on....
that just reminds me.... i need to instal my oem fog lights.... im just to lazy right now!

If you use a relay, it's still going to need to get it's power from an ACC socket, otherwise it will still be on all the time. All the relay does is take some amperage off of your switch and small wiring inside the car, so your switch and fuse won't burn out after hard use.
The relay will physicaly control the higher power of the lighting, and your switch will only be responsible for the signal to turn the relay on/off. I believe Street Sniper taught me that :-) Ask him if there's a question.
However as long as your switch is getting it's power from an ACC wire, even the cig.lighter, it will go off if you forget and leave them on when you exit the car. You don't need a huge amount of wiring for that trick, just a how-to on the relay, there should be a post somewhere.
