need help idle problem

yea i knew i made a mistake but people tell me they spray it in theres all the time. i removed every hose and inspected them they all seemed good.

so are you saying it is a vac leak because my last option is a wire short.

it IS a vac leak. Has to be. now the problem could lie in that you removed the hoses...some of them have check valves (brake booster). Also you might not have hooked everything back up correctly.

no right after i sprayed the stuff in there i immediately started the car and it revs up and down.

You're missing the idea here. Let me walk you through it:

1. start the car
2. observe the idle play
3. spray carb cleaner on TB and hoses
4. observe idle either change or not change
5. try to choke the car at the TB again.
6. report back.

sprayed carb cleaner no change tried to choke car did not choke....

If all the vacuum hoses are connected to the intake manifold (brake booster, PCV, cruise control, etc.), then I think you may have a leak from the throttle body gasket.

What happens if you spray some carb cleaner around the gasket as you are choking the throttle body?
