Default Need help remove rusted exhaust bolts

I just need to remove 3 rusted bolts from the back end of the cat and that's it. Everything else is ready, I just cannot get these damn bolts to come lose. I've PB'ed them, took a hammer to them, I'm about to launch my car off a bridge.

please someone help. I got my exhaust a day early and I really want to put it on now but these bitch bolts aren't going anywhere.

drill them out and put on new bolts from the hardware store

EDIT: just realized that where they are would make it hard to drill out.

got an impact wrench and a crow's foot?

If they're the ones with a bolt and nut with a springs on the middle, cut the bolts and use new ones.

Can you access the bolt with a hacksaw?

If you think you have sufficient access, you should be able to purchase a hacksaw from Sears, Lowes, Home Depot, etc.

well i don't think you're getting it off by yourself. I'd take it to a shop and get them to get the bolts off. Shouldn't cost but like $5 if that's all you let them do.

There won't be enough room underneath the car to use a hacksaw most likely.
And, those bolts are actually I think welded to the cat. If you cut it, you won't be able to put a nut back on that bolt. You'd have to drill out the bolts and get new ones, after you cut them.

If no one can get them off, take advantage of this moment to purchase a magnaflow direct-fit high-flow cat

well I keep PB'ing and hammering those bolts. Eventually I just had the socket wrench on the nuts and I just took my palm and hit the handle with force. They all broke free By that point I was so tired of taking off all the bolts and the stock exhaust I just layed down under my car for a few minutes to re-energize lol.

Got the new exhaust installed and running fine. Will post pics in another thread shortly
