How much money do you have? How much experience do you have? How much power do you want to end up with?

money isnt really an option for smaller stuff. 200-300 bucks is only 2 weeks of saving for me. i was thinking about doing a B16A1 DOHC VTEC engine but, after the engine, shipping, mounts and everything to make it fit my car. plus the tranny would have been too much. as for how fast i want to go..for now id like to get about 140-160 out of it, if thats possible. i got a new distributor cap and coil on the way.

If keeping the stock engine, DPFI to MPFI conversion would be a must. Then after that look for a VTEC head and mini-me it. The cap and coil will do nothing to increase horsepower, send them back and save your money.

I would look for weight savings next. A few pounds goes a long way. Ditch the A/C if it doesnt work or you dont use it. Empty unnecessary cargo. Some people remove seats. Carbon fiber body panels, hood, trunk will save a few hundred pounds. Your car should weigh around 2300 lbs stock, so a couple hundred pounds will improve acceleration ~10% and make the car handle better.

or just get on a diet and keep the a/c and interior, also just put a couple gallons of gas, dont fill up. 5 gal of gas is alot of damn weight for a civic

your current engine is setup up with a 2 fuel injector system its called a dpfi( dual point fuel injection) swaping the intake manifold from a 88-91 civic or crx ex or si and doing some rewiring you can convert your car to a 4 fuel injector system and gain alot more hp and torque.

BS number

Removing all that sh*t isn't worth it. Unless of course it's purely a track car. If it's a daily driver though, removing the interior is just stupid.

Listen to mk378... do the MPFI swap and a VTEC head swap.
