Just bought a car, and forgot about the whole California smog check thing... Turns out, the seller never got it smogged, and it failed due to having an aftermarket intake. Can someone help me out with what exact parts I need to get to return it to stock, and the best place to get them? Mostly what I can find is aftermarket intakes that won't pass in California. I would suggest checking ebay and craigslist

 

Go back to the seller. It is their responsibility to get it smog. If that is too much of a hassle. Buy an used one or buy one an aftermarket that is CARB approved. Another place beside Ebay or craigslist, you can try the junk yard - pick a park, u pull lots.
