ever since i got my new head put on, i have developed an oil leak. I looked at the oil pan and it looks dry. but the entire underside of the engine and tranny are moist and dripping. any of you had this problem or know what it is? the block is a D16Y8 but the head is the JDM D15B7 VTEC. what gasket should be on there?

 

i just fixed a big huge one.
i poorly put the oil pan gasket on. but should not apply to you.

did you change the oil and filter. is the filter the problem.
any oil by the distributor. did you put the dist on. o-ring on the dist shaft. that should not leak very much even if bad. (i am assuming that this is built like my 1.5 liter (1988)).

camshaft seal at the sprocket end. cant see it leaking that much - esp if it is new??

check the oil pan bolts/nuts. tighten to specs. i lost 3 quarts in 20 miles on the test run after rebuilding the engine.
