The tool costs about $85 with fluid, just go to a decent shop and tell them you want to have them check for a leaking head gasket with a block leak tester. They shouldn't charge you more then $20 it should take a matter of 3 minutes to have them check it, just make sure to get the car warmed up and leave it running when you get there. All they're gonna do is take this turkey baister looking thing, with some blue fluid in it, open up the radiator cap, start the car and suck some air out of the radiator. When they suck the air out from the radiator that air filters threw the blue fluid (kinda like a bong). If the fluid changes color you have a head gasket leak. That the only for sure way of knowing.

yeai was thinkin b16 or ls, but i dont have the $$ now, after today im starting to think its not a head gasket leak, the car drives ok, just wen i go over 70 mph it starts to over heat a bit, but when i go back down to 60 it returns to normal temperature, i dont think this is what a blown or leaking gasket would cause

you need to run a leakdown test and see if its the gasket. If it is, and you continue to drive with it like that, you're going to warp the head...if you have't done so already

lol if there is oil in it then its 100% your headgasket. Just replace it yourself. I did my D16, took a day but cost under 100$ INCLUDING beer.

I have a 95 DX coupe. It had a D15B7 in it. Same exactproblems. I ended up just replacing the motor. I spent almost as much on replacing head gasket twice, radiator, coolant, clamps, cap, overflow, tubes, hoses, thermostat, sending unit.. as it would have just to swap it out in the first place. People say, how could that have cost as much as a motor? The motor wasn't much, plus a couple hundred to put it in.. Make a couple trips to a reputable shop to have a head gasket replaced and see how money you spend. Or, just try to replace onlythat warped head and check out the price tag. Then you'll have a new head on a crappy bottom end that's been run reallyhot a lot. Now I have a JDM D15B and have not had one minute worth of problems with overheating. I live in south west Georgia. I most definitely do KNOW what it means for it to be veryhot outside. I struggled with mine too long. Just get another motor. You'll be glad you did. If anbody disagrees, that's just their opinion and they're entitled to it, but I lived through it and am telling you from first hand experience with the same exact car with the same exact symptoms. Get a motor.
