Exclamation New to HCF, with a few questions. Need help asap.

Alright, I'm from Southern California. Riverside to be exact.
I bought this 1998 Civic LX 4dr and it wasnt too long before it gave me problems.

Just recently it started to die on me every time I stop.
I start it back up and its fine now that i've changed the wireset, rotor and dist. cap. But still dies out at a stop.

Also, its shooting out a great amount of oil out of exhaust.

I'm not so smart at this and I want to learn, someone please help.

Quick list of problems:
  • oil shoots out of exhaust
  • idles too low
  • clutch is bad, waiting on stage 1 from clutchmasters
  • car dies out upon stop

Here is some pics of the car and the mess it made :P

Thanks for the help in advance

Dying out at stops is just an extreme case of idling too low. Remove the IACV from the the back of the throttle body and clean it.

If its really oil coming out the exhaust, you would also be having a lot of smoke and of course the oil level would drop. Are you sure it's not just dirty / oily water (a byproiduct of burning gasoline), which is normal.

I just got back from my cousin's house. He checked it out, cylinder 2 isnt working properly.

We tried changing the spark plugs, and the injectors but neither of those are malfunctioning. The wireset, rotor and dist. cap are 2 days old. He said something about a compression test he's going to do next week, so for now, I'm running on 3 cylinders.

As far as the oil, yes my oil level drops dramatically.
Last oil change I added some Lucas Oil to see if it helped, by 1000 miles into the oil change i was at the bottom half of dip read.
