Default New misfire codes

Hi everyone,

Car lost some power and the CEL light came on. Got the code P0301 P0302 P0303 and P1300. So the basic cylinder 1-3 and misfire codes. Checked the wires and sparkplugs and they look OK. Does anyone have any advice on what to do, and can point me in the right direction to change the distributor.

Thanks in advance for the help.

this most likely isnt it, but shud stil check. run a compression test and see if maybe the rings are bad?

or if not that

MAKE SURE you got ur spark plug wires in correct firing order.. that will really screw u if u dont, pm me if u do the compression

Changeing the distributor cap and rotor is fairly easy. You unscrew the bolts on the cap with a 8mm socket or wrench (might need to use 1/4" drive with extension), pull off cap with all the plug wires still on it. Then look to see if you can see the screw on the top, if you can't start the car briefly look to see if the rotor spun enough if not go again. Then slide off the rotot straight out, slide the new one on the same way the old one was. pry out the old rubber seal lining the cap with a flathead(if you want to replace with a new one). Reattach the cap, (don't overtighten). Then place the plugs from the old cap to the new one IN THE SAME ORDER and your done.
