I think you are talking about the odometer part where it turns Yellow after 7,000 miles (Direct from the manual). That's it's purpose, to simply tell you you have driven that many miles and should or should have done oil changes and etc. There should be a little switch thing on the left of it. Push your key into it and it will change to green again. From your info thats what Im suspecting.

Edit: It's 10 pm here. I ran outside to my car to take pictures just to show you.

1. This is automatically changed after aprox. 7,000 miles according to the manual.

2. This is what you push with your key or anything that can switch it.

Voila. Light turns back to gree. But be sure to check your fluids much long before it turns yellow. Such as oil changes, brake fluids, yah know the regulars.

Oh and for the low fuel light. It really never comes on my car but that should'nt be the one to tell you that you are low of fuel. Don't go driving around with what you think is enough gas to make it to where you want to go and some more. It's not smart to do that and really won't be fun when you are calling someone for help. Don't worry about the fuel light. Just check the gas tank level.

tbh i've never had the low fuel light turn on in my 98 DX... and I know i've damn near run out before... supposedly it's a 11.9 gallon tank...

I've put 11.8 in it before, and the light wasn't even thinking about coming on

as for the green/yellow think:

green 0-5000, yellow 5001-7000, red 7000+

basically when it turns yellow, go get your oil changes (or check to see if its really necessary... most shops don't reset it)

I have a 98 civic ex. I know it has a fuel light but i never wait for it to come on, its not a low fuel warning. If it comes on your screwed and OUT of gas.

92-95 Civics don't have a low fuel light. Your hint like a clue should be when the needle is below the E! Kind of like when your car is overheating, when the temp gague is past the H!
