Default no interior lighting....smoke from cluster

hey guys. I was leaving work last night and I turned on my head lights in my 02 civic and nothing came up....then I smelled smoke and saw it coming from around the gauge cluster. and the whole car has no interior lighting...I checked all of the fuses and everything is still there. Also on the gauge cluster the turn signal indicators are both constantly lit. how the hell do I fix this?!

Sounds like a ground issue. If your turn signals are not working I'd have a look at the ground wire from the hazard relay, near fuse box as it goes up towards the firewall and instrument cluster.

The turn signals work, and the hazards work....just on the gauge cluster they are lit up all the time when you turn on the head lights.

youve got a short in there somewhere. take it apart and inspect the plugs, one of them is probably melted. dont play around with the yellow plugs though. those are for airbags, and its possible to make them go off. and if you are sitting in front of one when it goes off, its bad news.
