Default No power to distributor

Yes its a dumb question, no power to the distributor, i recently replaced the distributor, cap, rotor, but the car started once, then died and wouldnt start again. i checked all the fuses, none dead i visually checked the wires and didnt see anything out of the ordinary. its getting plenty of fuel, im just getting no voltage at the plug with or without ignition on. What else can it be?

Nevermind... I took it back to autozone, they tested the ignition control module and it was bad. So dont always trust Reman... They gave me a new distributor and my car choked and caughed but fired up. Now trying to adjust the timing, i got it to the notch with my gun, but when i drive it, its sluggish untill about 3600 then it picks up.

Okay now it makes absolutly no sense to me, the ign timing is so far off i have to take the bolts out for it to hit the red mark. I never took the timing belt off or anything i just changed the distributor and now it runs like crap and i just dont understand. And no the timing was not off the whole time because i have no bottom end power right now it bogs till about 3600 like i was saying and its never been like this. I dont have the original hood that has the specs of the timing, but i have a book that tells me to look at the hood diagram... Can someone atleast give me something to go off of on how to fix this?

ya gotta connect some connector together with a paper clip, so the computer doesn't compensate the timing. duh. don't know which two wires though.
