Default no signal sent to starter

so i just bought a 200 civic ex 1.6 5 speed, drove it home, stopped by autozone on the way up. car ran fine, mechanically seemed sound. started about 5 times that day with no problems. get home, park the and a couple hours later car wont start. doesnt turn over, its like there's no signal being sent to the starter. starter is good, battery too. the clutch switch that tells if the clutch is pushed in works fine, and the starter signal wires are plugged in good. fuse also got replaced. everything electrical starts up fine when you turn the key, except it doesnt even try to start. can push start it no problem. any advice would be awesome, thanks!

With key off and not in gear, jump the starter small terminal to battery +, the starter should turn confirming that it and the battery are good and connected together OK as installed.

The EX has two switches on the clutch, the bottom one is for the cruise control and the top one for the starter. Common for the rubber pad to fall out of the arm and then the switch does not get pressed with the pedal down. Also check that power comes out the black / white stripe wire from the key switch when key is turned to start. The factory alarm may have a starter cut, I'm not sure.
