Default No start! Fuel, spark, cranks, won't turn over.

hi all

i've got spark and fuel, but my car still won't start.
i tested spark on all 4 cylinders. spark plugs are getting wet with fuel. they were very black when i pulled them, so i wire brushed them and re-gapped them.
my oil light goes out after 3 or so cranks.
my oil level is good.
not throwing any codes either.
what could this be? faulty distributor?

You should check the timing and compression. Spark plugs black or wet suggests way too much gas, such as too much pressure from the regulator(*), or an injector stuck open. Is it the DPFI system?

(*) Also check the vacuum hose on the back of the regulator, it should be dry. If regulator is blown it will pour gas into the engine through that hose.

Its a d16y8.
Timing is good, compression is good, that's not the issue.

I will check the regulator. The spark plugs were new a few months ago.

if i fully retard the ignition timing, and hold the pedal down half way, it barely idles, but it idles as long as i hold my foot in that position....

well i got it to turn over and run briefly.
we went to do the ignition timing, hooked up the timing light, and suddenly it won't start at all now! throwing code 15. blk/yel wire has power. soooo frustrating.

i think my coil is straight up dead.
