not getting enough gas?
okay so some of you may know I purchased a 91 civic dx about a month ago and since then I've been slowly doing more and more work to it. Right now I have a cold air intake, skunk 2 mega power exhaust and Megan racing headers. But even before the headers when I am accelerating in the higher rpms the car starts to sputter and not accelerate as much like its not getting enough gas. Sometimes it won't have this issue. My buddy who helps me with the car thinks that I need to remap the ecu but I don't think it would matter in a 91. I'm also gonna try a new fuel filter so we will see after that. But any input would be appreciated!
Without an MPFI conversion, you're just wasting money on those other parts trying to go faster.
Check the fuel flow out of the return hose. Disconnect the hose from the regulator to the return line at the firewall and direct it into a container then turn the key on (do not start). Gas should stream out strongly. If it just dribbles it probably is a clogged filter or a weak pump.

so basically i need and fuel injector haha. Yeah I was driving again tonight and the car died on me. I'll be driving and when I'm accelerating usually in the higher rpms the car will cut out and die on me. I will check the fuel flow tomorrow.
Thanks so much for your help
