No offence^^^ Haynes is worthless, but thats my opion. If you wanna learn how stuff works or were its located how to replace it you need a sercive manual pic below.

Service manual is great for everything but emissions/wiring
Haynes has some great wiring diagrams in the back to help you along (helped me figure out how to wire up a Bosch universal o2 sensor to my factory downstream o2 sensor)

Your rotors or rotor are warped and you brake pads probably warn down .. Thats what happen on my camaro when i'd drive over 50 and then brake it wouldn't feel like i'm driving over 1 ft lumps in the road and my wheels were gonna fall off and it would feel like my brake pedal was gonna kill my trying to shake me to death

Just get new rotors and pads. Make sure you get some lube too. Brakes are cake on these cars as well as most others (although when I was younger I had a ranger and you had to disassemble the 4x4 locking hubs to change the rotors and if you've ever done that you'd want to kill yourself). Didn't you just get a new socket set (thought I saw that in another thread)? Get to it, you'll feel great when your done.
You could get the rotors machined and just buy pads, but chances are the rotors will warp quicker (they will heat up faster because they will be thinner).
