Default O2 Sensor

So my car uses two oxygen sensors, now I just installed new headers and only one o2 sensor will fit and the other won't because it will be rubbing one the boot of the drive arm coming from the tranny. If I only rocked out with one o2 sensor will the computer still adjust the rich and leanness?

Primary o2 sensor is used by the ecu to tune a/f ratio. Secondary o2 sensor is to see if the catalytic converter is working properly. Go to an exhaust shop and have them put an o2 sensor bung in a place where you can hook up the other sensor. It shouldn't cost much more than $20.

Just have an exhaust shop weld in a o2 "plug" into the piping and you are all good.

Alrighty guys I got it fixed! Thanks alot!
I have another question tho... has anyone heard of the block cracking cause of putting on aftermarket headers? Because you can't use the same support mount as the stock one had? Any opinions?

dont worry about it.....if that was common then thousands of Civics would have crakced blocks everyday. And where is the OEM exhaust manifold mounted? Mine was hanging to my midpipe just like my header is

So the car is running great but there is just one minor problem... the check engine light is on due to missing that second o2 sensor. I know you can get an o2 simumator but I don't really want to buy on just yet... i was thinkin of just connecting the second 02 sensor wires and joining them into the first o2 sensor... will that work guys?

No, that will not work because the second is ment to detect if the cat is removing enough emissions. I just disconnected my secondard o2 sensor and let it hang there and I do not have a code.
