OBD2 State Inspection
I recently had a Turbonetics turbo and Hondata computer installed in my 2000 Civic Si. Without thinking about it, I went in for my state inspection (Vermont) and failed because the shop couldn't communicate with the car's computer. There is an OBD1 computer in, now, but VT uses OBD2 equipment.
I have the original OBD2 computer, and I know that if I temporarily reinstall it for the inspection I can pass. The issue is that if I reinstall it, then drive over to the shop, I run the risk of blowing the motor with the stock computer.
Other than paying a shop off under the table, what other options are there for getting my car to pass state inspection?
