is octane booster harmful??
well im having trouble starting my car when its cold... it takes about 5-6 cranks to get it running.... and wen it starts for a split second it sounds like one cyluinder starts working and the rest kick in after 2 serconds... my friend told me my cylinders ar e"clogged" and i should get octane booster.... but my brother said octane booster can harm my engine... what is the truth and what should i do??
hmm I kind of have a same question being that does any of thegas tank additives work especially Z MAX, and it wouldnt be your cylinder clogged it would be your injectors get one of those bottles that you can add to your tank it might help it might not helped on my dad truck it wont hurt anything either.
Octane booster is not going to harm your motor provided you dont use a ton of it. However, it is not the solution to your problem.
Have you tried running DryGas through it? That stuff is a staple back home where temps drop well below 0 for months at a time.
Also, see the DIY on SeaFoaming a motor. Its easy to do, and can be very beneificial.

I dont know about the others but that z max is bomb...it feels similar to doing a seafoam after...but if you know someone that works for a dealership they get special zmax thats really good...
