Odb0 error code 9
I have a b16a in a 90 Honda civic with a odb0 ecu. I get an error code 9 and was wondering what it was and how to fix it. So far I have seen it as a cylinder sensor or a distributor sensor. Not sure which one to believe and I would much appreciate advice with fixing this

CYP Sensor (Cylinder)
defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor
* not a valid code for any throttle body injection Hondas
** not a valid code for V-6 engines
thats what i found. hope it helps.

The cylinder sensor is inside the distributor. Thus the confusion. The sensor provides a pulse when cylinder #1 is about to fire, it is used to synchronize the fuel injectors.
The distributors for DPFI engines do not have this sensor at all, so the first thing would be to be sure the proper distributor has been installed and wired to the ECU during the swap.

Fix the code 9 first. You need to check the distributor and wiring.
Code 10, maybe the IAT sensor in your new manifold is bad, or not plugged in, or plugged in the wrong place (unlike most cars that are designed to be "idiot proof", a lot of the plugs under the hood of a Civic are the same type and can be swapped around and plugged into the wrong thing).
Code 14 occurs any time the idle speed goes out of control and likely is not related to any "hard" failure.

The square plug on your distributor should have 7 wires. If it has 5 wires you have the wrong distributor for a MPFI setup.
Plug with a red and yellow and a green and white wire should be on the IAT sensor. Plug with a black and yellow and a blue and yellow wire should be on the IACV.

from what i understand code 9 is the distributor sensor, 14 is the air temp sensor and 10 is air controll valve. i appricate the advice given and will look at the wires on my distributor and write back. But as for the IACV I just took the old one off the old intake and put it on the new one. Everything seem to lined up ok so the plug was the same as before I even touch it. Not too sure y changing the intake manifold would make that light go off.
