It's a D15b. Nothing after the b. JDM or something like that. Yes the light works. A month or so back when I cleaned the IACV and put it back on, it actually did die all the way out because I forgot to reset the ECU and then I did get a light. Would it still have that code after all this time? I'm pretty sure I've reset it since then.

The FITV is shown in the diagram below. Click FITV in my signature. In contrast, the IACV is on the rear of the IM.

Ok. I'll try again to figure out whether it has one or not when I get home. Those pictures should do the job.

Looks like Ron's got you on the right track.

TPS is the Throttle Position Sensor and is a black plug on the rear of the TB.

EDIT: Looks like it's referred to as a Throttle Angle Sensor in the image above.

Ok. Finally verified that the FIV is there. I'll clean that up this weekend or maybe sooner depending on the weather. I seem to have a coolant leak somewhere, but I never see any under my car or anywhere under the hood when I go looking. Any tips for finding out what's going on? Where should the coolant in the reservoir be when the engine's hot (Max vs Min)? When it's cold?

If the engine slows down too much with the A/C on, but otherwise OK, you can try opening the idle adjusting screw (turn counterclockwise).

Proper fill is anywhere between the lines with the engine cold. It should go up when it is hot.

It'll bump up about 400 rpm for about 5 seconds when I turn the AC off, but idling with AC on vs off is the same.

Ok. Took the FITV off and cleaned it up. I'm not sure if it helped or not. I want to take it off and fiddle with the positioning as per your guide, RonJ, and see if that makes much of a difference.

Also remember to reset the ECU once your fixes are complete, prior to firing her back up

Ok. I believe the surge may be gone. It really shows up a whole lot more when it's cooler out, and that just isn't happening for a while, unfortunately, so I don't want to say fixed or not. She's still idling insanely low though. I still need to try adjusting the FITV, and I'm also betting I'm in need of a new thermostat, 'cause I'm sure it still has the original '92 in there. Poor thing hasn't ever been taken care of.
