Default Odometer not working...

Yes I searched. No I didn't find anything useful.

Alright, it a 98 EX d16y8. I just noticed that the odometer was not working. What might have caused this? I did just do a LED conversion for the lights, but I know for a fact that all the connectors are back in the right place and fastened tight. So What else might have cause it to keel over and die?

Had that just happen to me, but my speedometer also quit at the same time. If your speedometer is also out then you'd need a new speed sensor most likely located on the back of the transmission.

If speedometer work I'd leave it alone and wait till you go to sell to fix it!

Speedos still working fine. Do they (odometers) just die sometimes, or is there something that can be fixed?

most speedos are gear driven - so chances are you got a busted gear between the speedo & odo -there only cheap plastic

Though I don't know either way, I'd think it wouldn't be a simple fix. With all the safeguards put in place to keep us from rolling back our odometers it would probably take a qualified tech to fix... Just a thought...
