Default ohhhh dear, whats going on here?

Today i was driving and i noticed my blow off valve sounded a little off... and when i stopped my car and sat in neutral, my car was idling between 2-3 thousand rpm! it wont stop doing this, it sounds like my turbo keeps kicking in for no reason. Id like to know which part is buggered, but i cant figure it out.

I've got a 1.8 l gsr engine with a t 03/ 04 turbo, its got a blow off valve and a large intercooler right under my grill. I can still drive my car, but im choosing not to until i fix it. It soudns like someone is revving my car up, and it wont stop doing it im hoping its just somthing minor but im not sure this time.

I havnt had the best of luck with this car, the day after i bought it the harmonic balance fell off in a parking lot. [:@]

What form of engine management are you running? Did you change anything before the problem started to occur?

Sounds like an idle problem, but that doesn't take into account the turbo. You can try and adjust the idle by disconnecting the IACV (while engine is off), turning the idle screw on the TB until the idle is correct (engine on), and then reconnecting the IACV (engine off).
