How often Do you all cahnge your oil. I have an 07 Civic EX 1.8L. 5 Speed. I can't see waiting until @ 10K miles or so to change the oil. That seems too long. What do you do or recommend??

I usually do it every 3-4k miles. However lately I have been lazy. Its been over 5 months lol I better get to changing it.

just call up the dealership and ask for a service advisor, they'll tell u exactly how long and what they recommend. personally, i wouldnt wait more than 5k...they may be using synthetic oil now..

 

Just make sure you stick to the oil the car suggests, all that info should be available in the manual, under the maint. section.

I used to run 10w30 in my civic, and I swapped it out for 5w30 or 20, whichever it suggests in the manual. Seems like I gained 2mpg when i swapped out the oils, although they suggest sticking with 10 in colder areas.

 

I've heard 3k with regular, 5k with synthetic...I need my car to last, so I do 3k with Mobil 1 Synthetic

 

I do the same setup as bakertime. 3k with Mobil 1 Synthetic.
