one tire is bowed in at the top

one tire is bowed in at the top
I own a 2000 ex and I had my car at the muffler shop today n noticed the right rear tire is bowed in at the top.. Now I do hear noises coming from that side especially wen I go off a curb or take a sharp turn..what could that be? A bad shock?
