so my girlfriend decided that she wouldnt put oil in the 1991 1.5 civic i just bought her. well i just found a 1988 accord 4 banger for $250 with heavy rear damage and have no other info till i go see the car, will this engine swap over?

 

By swap do you mean the accord engine to the civ or the civ engine to the accord? (Kinda confused)

 

i woudl assume accord to civic as the accord was wrecked

no it will not swap over unless you mod the chassis bracket mounts on the civic. not worth it. just get a replacement engine, which will cost less than $250. you just gotta ask around, or go to your local junkyard

 

thanks guys, been busy this weekend sorry for the late reply. yeah, another thing i didnt consider was changing the wiring harness. bleh, my search for the most popular engine in the universe is coming up empty handed. i'm not willing to pay more than 2-3 hundred for one which means it pretty much has to be in my area cuase shipping an engine sucks $!

by the way, for the few that were still wondering... the accord engine was going to the civic
