Default RE: overheating when at a stop

yes i had I had a pressure test and the mechanic said it was alright.
What makes me mad is that i had took it to a mech and he said everthing was alright. Untill i started to drive then thats what started.

I also ask him about the headgasket and he said no it wasnt that nor the water pump since he had change the timing belt he had look for leaks.

I kow that everything is new except the engine and relay for the fan.

Also the fan does turns on but it only turns on when the needle is on the H ;and the resovor is full of coolant just as well.
And yes the cap is new.

I guess ill get everything recheck again, just hate to pay anthor mech. Its like going to a doctor and then going to anthor doc to get a 2nd opinion. [:@]

Thank you everyone for helping me out I Guess my next step is really to see if it is the gasket.

when its really hot, open the hood and feel the hoses going to and from the radiator. if only one is hot, then the thermo may have gone out again. sometimes you get a bad one that doesnt last long. if thats not the case, definately get the headgasket checked out.

Hey guess what i took it to anthor mach and found out that it was a bad cap even though it was new and a leak in the hose. what this guy did was check the presure every 30 mins for 2 hrs and found a small leak. I was impress because at first it started out normal until he had drove it and found out what the prob was. the only bad thing it cost me 128 dollars, but in my book it was worth it.

Once again i want to thank everyone for your help.
