Yesterday and for two weeks prior, Stock radio/CD player in my 99 worked fine. Today, it decides to eject CDs after it tries to read tracks, then gives error (E 00) and spits it out. It doesnt matter if it is a home-burned CD-R or retail pressed CD. I was able to get a couple of HP CD-Rs to play, but it is inconsistant. Weather just turned from 50 to 70 degrees here in Philly area. Is the laser very sensitive in the stock headunit, or is it sunspots.

 

i don't know what the exact problem is but that has happend to plenty of cd players i've had(stock and store bought). I think the cd player may just be getting bad. maybe the laser isn't working so good no more. "I" would just get a new cd player...but maybe someone else may know how to fix it...
