Default passenger window only works sometimes

ive got a 1996 civic and my passenger power window has been acting up. its only sometimes working and now its stuck down and i need to get it up. my driver side window works perfectly. any suggestions?

maybe you've got a bad regulator and need to replace it. Do you have power windows or manual?

Broken wires in the driver's door often do that. Try opening and closing the driver's door while holding the button for the passenger window.

yup, could be the wires or the window regulator. Mine turned out to be the regulator.

was yours working randomly? and also my passenger side switch never worked just the drivers side

In my case, it was the driver's side and it would work intermittently and I could hear a grinding noise while it was going up.

In your case, if it never worked, then it could very well be the wires then.

I'd try mk's suggestion of moving the door back and forth while doing it.

Also double check that there is voltage at the motor; that would be another check. If there is voltage, then we know that it is not the wire at the door nor the switch.
