I have a 1996 Honda Civic EX.
My car has been acting up a lot lately but I have no idea what is going on....
When I got in my car this morning and started her up, the RPM needle was between 2 and 3 and stayed there. The RPM needle is usually around 1 or in between 1 and 2 ALWAYS. Also, lately my car has been jumping a lot when I put pressure on the gas pedal. When I move the gear into 1,2,3,4, and 5 and ease off of the clutch and put pressure on the gas pedal, my car jumps and it got so bad this morning, I just came back home. Can somebody please tell me what could be wrong and how much it will cost to fix?

 

it could be the distibutor, which i dont think cuz u might have trouble starting the car, but maybe spark plug wires or a bad ground

 

well i just got a distributor put on there like a week ago. im hoping its the spark plugs....cheap....im hoping cheap

 

doesnt hurt to replace the spark plugs since they are cheap, but if the problem continues it could be the spark plug wires
